Through synchronous and effective solutions, the studying and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in the 574th Armoured Brigade, Military Region 5 has become a tradition, creating an important driving force for building the unit all-strong, "exemplary, typical", successfully completing all assigned tasks.

Raising awareness - strengthening confidence

Studying and learning Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style is a pivotal step, creating the premise for transforming ideals into practical revolutionary actions of each cadre and soldier. Correctly recognising that, imbued with Uncle Ho's teaching "deeply study to absorb the spirit of the Resolution; and the deeper the study, the more excited we are and the better the task is completed", the Party Committee and Command of the Brigade have seriously and synchronously implemented the dissemination, study and propaganda of the main contents of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", constantly raising awareness, strengthening the trust and motivation of cadres and soldiers. Accordingly, the Brigade has developed a plan for studying the entire course and annual topics in accordance with the characteristics of the situation and requirements of the Unit's tasks. Closely following the direction of superiors, the content of the topics is specified in each stage, linked to the political tasks of each agency and unit, ensuring comprehensiveness, practicality and effectiveness; not only focusing on the core values ​​of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style and the requirement to build the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new situation, but also spreading the actions and simple beauty of Uncle Ho's daily life for cadres and soldiers to learn and follow.

With the viewpoint of diversifying access channels, increasing visibility, creating a wide spread, the Brigade conducts dissemination, study, and propaganda for cadres, party members, and the masses in creative and flexible forms and methods. Along with regularly improving the quality of education, dissemination, concentrated study, and thematic activities, the Brigade focuses on propaganda through the internal radio system, social networks, such as: Nui Que group, Youth of Brigade 574, Land and people of Zone 5, ... contributing to improving the effectiveness of content absorption. Agencies and units promote innovation in methods and forms of conveying Uncle Ho's ideology, morality and style through close and highly interactive activities such as: telling stories about Uncle Ho, seminars, competitions, picking democratic flowers, cultural and artistic activities, etc. to increase the visuality, ease of absorption. Every year and in each period, the Brigade coordinates with local schools and organisations to hold introductions, traditional talks at the Traditional Room, visits to historical sites, etc. combined with propaganda about Uncle Ho's life, career and background.

In addition, the integration of learning and following Uncle Ho's teachings into Party cell activities, periodic activities, self-criticism and criticism activities, and reviewing individual and collective responsibilities, etc. has always been carried out systematically and effectively by Party committees, Party cells, organisations, and forces, and has become increasingly thorough. The work of summarising, praising, rewarding, and disseminating typical and advanced collectives and individuals in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style has been carried out seriously and regularly. At the same time, promoting the effectiveness of cultural institutions: Ho Chi Minh room, system of billboards, banners, posters, slogans, etc., has contributed to encouraging and motivating cadres and soldiers to actively study and practice following Uncle Ho's example. The Brigade has invested in synchronous equipment (computers, tape recorders) to improve the quality of propaganda through the internal broadcasting system. Every week, the radio organisation broadcasts a column on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Thanks to the systematic implementation of the work of thoroughly understanding, studying and propagating Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, the level of awareness, political capacity and revolutionary ethics of cadres and soldiers have been increasingly improved and consolidated. The vast majority of cadres and soldiers have developed the right motivation to strive, a high sense of responsibility, an increasingly scientific working style. They always accept and successfully complete all assigned tasks.

The evidence of substantial, creative and effective "Following"

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh taught: "Study to do. Theory goes hand in hand with practice". To promote and create a strong shift from “studying” to “following” Uncle Ho, the Brigade’s Party Committee, Command and its junior Party Committees and Commanders at all levels concretise the content of studying and following Uncle Ho into their leadership resolutions, plans, and action programmes of the entire term, yearly, quarterly, and monthly, in conjunction with political tasks, the responsibilities and tasks of individuals and collectives, and the characteristics and tasks of each agency and unit.

To serve as a basis for each collective and individual to strive and practice, the Brigade’s Party Committee and Command thoroughly grasp the directives and resolutions of the Party, the Central Military Commission, and instructions from higher echelons; proactively develop and promulgate regulations, rules, and revolutionary ethical standards for cadres and Party members in conjunction with the qualities of “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers”, with specific, clear, and practical contents and criteria. Agencies and units concretise the contents suitable for each subject and field of work, include them in the operating regulations of Party committees, Party cells, and working regulations of agencies and units; systematically and effectively implement the development of annual plans for studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style for subjects, as a basis for evaluating cadres, Party members, Youth Union members, and Association members, creating motivation for each individual to voluntarily practice and strive.

The close association between studying and following Uncle Ho with implementing Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW, dated 25 October 2021 of the Central Executive Committee on promoting the building and rectification of the Party and the political system; Resolution No. 847-NQ/QUTW, dated 28 December 2021 of the Central Military Commission on promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", resolutely fighting against individualism in the new situation, ... is identified by the Brigade as a consistent focus, unifying the study and training of revolutionary moral qualities with the fight against degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, manifestations of "self-evolution", "self-transformation" within the Party, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and organisations at all levels in association with building all-strong "exemplary and typical" agencies and units. Taking to heart Uncle Ho's teaching "To progress, one must have a bold spirit, dare to think and dare to do. In any case, cadres, party members, and union members must volunteer to go first..." and realising that the exemplary responsibility of cadres and party members is not high, which is one of the reasons leading to the weaknesses of agencies and units in the past time, the Brigade focuses on building and supplementing regulations and rules related to the implementation of exemplary responsibility, focusing on the criteria: dedication, devotion to work, honesty, objectivity, solidarity, democracy, proactiveness, creativity, resolutely fighting against individualism, pragmatic lifestyle and concretised in the work programme, training plan of each individual, contributing to creating a clear change in the awareness and actions of cadres, party members, union members, and association members. Along with that, the routine of reviewing, self-criticising and criticising activities has been seriously maintained by Party committees and Party cells, with improved quality. The content of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style is concretised into criteria and measures to help cadres and party members "self-examine and self-correct", thereby clearly recognising shortcomings, proposing effective measures to overcome limitations and weaknesses, overcoming the state of being respectful, avoiding and hiding shortcomings. Agencies and units actively incorporate the content of studying and following Uncle Ho into each task, associated with the responsibilities of each individual and collective, especially in implementing breakthroughs: adjusting organisation and staffing; training; building regulations, complying with the law, discipline, ensuring safety, administrative reform and digital transformation. At the same time, strengthen inspection and supervision work associated with evaluating the results of implementing the commitment to cultivate and train the ethics of cadres and party members, promptly detecting and correcting manifestations of distorted, wrong perceptions and actions, and "formalism".

To create a practical environment for training and following Uncle Ho's example, the Youth Union and Women's Union actively launched and responded to the movements: "Youth cultivate virtue, train talent, be proactive, creative, determined to win", "Women of the Brigade are brave and intelligent, excellently complete tasks, build happy families, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era", ... effectively implementing plans and programmes of activities, striving to compete with practical actions. As a result, studying and following Uncle Ho has come into practice, creating positive changes in ideology, ethics, lifestyle, enhancing the sense of responsibility and determination in performing tasks. Sticking closely to the political tasks, the Brigade closely combines studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style with the Emulation movement "Determined to Win", campaigns, creating motivation for cadres, party members and the masses to promote a sense of responsibility, raise awareness of organisation and discipline, proactively overcome difficulties, and successfully complete all assigned tasks. The content of studying and following Uncle Ho is deeply ingrained in each stage of all aspects of work, clearly shown in each content and target of the emulation movements, such as: "Good training, strict discipline, high combat readiness"; "Cadres and soldiers of Brigade 574 compete to practice office culture, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers"; "Cadres and soldiers of Brigade 574 with traffic culture"; "The Army Logistics Sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings"; "Cadres and soldiers of Brigade 574 join hands to build new rural areas"; “Cadres and soldiers of Brigade 574 join hands for the poor - No one is left behind”; “Join hands to eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses”, etc. By means of these movements, many creative models and effective ways of doing things have emerged, such as: “One word of Uncle Ho's teaching every day”, “Model political study hour”, “Regular watchtower”, “Regular training ground”, “Regular lecture hall”, “Regular technical day”, “Saving allowances for tomorrow's career”, “Raising piggy banks for the sake of border and island sentiment”, “Women's Union members help each other”, “Women with quality meals for soldiers”, etc.

With the above approaches, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in Brigade 574 has brought about high efficiency; many typical and advanced collectives and individuals have been commended. This has become an important solution, a regular task that the Party Committee and Command of the Brigade, Party committees, and commanders of agencies and units have focused on leading and directing to further promote, creating breakthroughs and solid changes in performing tasks, contributing to improving the overall quality, combat strength, building an all-strong "exemplary, typical" Unit, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
