Given the increasingly challenging task requirements, the Party Committee and Command of Division 325 have defined the learning and following of Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style to be the key and consistent content in their leadership, direction and implementation. They have also made many guidelines and solutions; combined the “learning” and “following”, creating practical changes to build the Division all-strong, “exemplary and typical”.

Division 325 under Corps 12 is a unit which was trained and grown throughout resistance wars and in the cause of national construction and defence, forging the tradition of “solidarity, resilience, speed, boldness, determination to win”. On inheriting and bringing into play this glorious tradition in the new period connected with the requirements of learning and following Uncle Ho, the Division has grasped and concretised resolutions, directives and instructions by the Party Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defence, and the General Political Department on promoting the learning and following of Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style. Especially, his profound teachings, such as: “Effectively conduct the political study and retraining”; “It is necessary to study military techniques and professional skills”; “It is a must to stay united”, etc. have been considered as the guidelines in their leadership and direction on building the comprehensively strong, “exemplary, typical” units.

With high political determination, the learning and following of Uncle Ho in the Division has gained important results in all working areas, especially, the quality of building the politically-strengthened units has been enhanced; the spirit, determination will, solidarity and responsibility of cadres and soldiers have been gradually improved; the party and political activities have been strictly maintained; the principles of democratic centralism, self-criticism and criticism have been seriously adhered to; the Party’s ideological front in the Division has been reinforced and improved. The pioneering and exemplary roles of cadres and party members, those of presiding ones, at all levels have been increasing affirmed, creating a far-reaching influence within the Division.

The quality of training, military exercises and combat readiness of the Division has gained solid advances. Since 2016, it has held and participated in 53 military exercises in tactics and firing; completed all training curricula and programmes for all learners; taken part in 45 contests and competitions held by the Corps and Ministry of National Defence with high results; all training sessions have been evaluated as passing with the good and excellent rates having increased year after year. The regularity building and discipline observance have seen steady changes; the cadres and soldiers’ awareness of complying with the State’s law and Army’s discipline has been improved without any serious incident, and the safety of the Division has been maintained. The logistic-technical support has been carried out  synchronously with high rate of healthy soldiers, weapons and technical equipment having been well managed and exploited, well meeting the requirements of training and combat readiness. The military administrative reforms and digital transformation in the leadership and management have been put into order, making significant contribution to improving the management, command and overall strength of the Division.

With the gained achievements and given the task requirements in the new period, the Division’s Party Committee and Command continue to concretise and promote the learning and following of Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style into the leading guidelines, solutions and detailed tasks of each department and unit, considering them as main motive and solutions to build the comprehensively strong, “exemplary, typical” units, creating the practical changes within the Division.

It has envisaged that, for the task completion, it is necessary to have a consistent view of “putting politics as the foundation” in the leadership, direction and task performances. On this basis, it continues to check, complete and improve the leadership skills and combat strength of all-level party committees and organisations; build the pure and strong party committees and cells combined with building the comprehensively strong, “exemplary, typical” departments and units, at the same time, pays attention to building the contingent of cadres and party members who have firm political stance and absolute loyalty to the Fatherland, Party, State and the people; set good examples in their morality and living style; volunteer to conduct the “2 determinations, 2 accelerations, 2 preventions”, the mottos of “5 firms”, “6 clears” and the spirit of “7 dares”, “5Ts” in doing all tasks and under all circumstances.

In building the political strength, it has particularly renovated the political-ideological education in a practical, effective, intensive and persuasive way; promoted the propaganda, widely spread the traditional values connected with the responsibility for the task completion of all cadres and soldiers in the new period in order to deeply ingrain in their awareness and emotions, and change into their self-motivated actions. The party committees and commands at all levels enhance the monitoring, forecasting, management and orientation of soldiers’ ideology; timely discover and completely resolve any arising issues right in the grassroots level; firmly fight any manifestations of degradation, “self-evolution”, “self-transformation”, individualism and other wrong and hostile viewpoints, helping all cadres and soldiers have a stable stance, consistent goals and ideals, feel secure in their work, managing to successfully accomplish all assigned tasks.

Based on the grasp and concretisation of the Party’s guidelines on building the “revolutionary, regular, highly-skilled, modernised” Army; Resolution No. 1659-NQ/QUTW, dated 20 December 2022 by the Central Military Commission on “Improving the training quality in the 2023 - 2030 period and the following years”, etc., the Division has decided to “strengthen the military work, first and foremost the training of soldiers”; consistently considered the improvement of training quality and combat readiness as a breakthrough to successfully accomplish the tasks in the new period. Accordingly, it has paid attention to renovating the training contents, programmes and methods in the motto of “3 reals”, closely sticking to the combat targets, terrain, weapons, equipment and actual combat realities; regularly updated new forms of warfare, focusing on preventing high-tech weapons, electronic warfare, and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), and included these contents in the mandatory tests.

During training, it continues to lead and synchronously implement 03 viewpoints, 08 principles, 06 combinations; increases night training, combines the technical and tactical training with the combination of forces, at the same time, widely applies the simulation apps and laser shooting simulators in the testing process; increases military drills to solve unexpected situations in order to train soldiers’ commanding capabilities, mobility and combat coordination. All departments and units seriously grasp and implement the regulations of combat duty; build and practise plans on natural disaster prevention, search and rescue, and disease prevention, at the same time, build the contingent of cadres and soldiers who are always able to “hold the fighting spirit, safeguard the Fatherland and protect the peace”, assuring the “ready forces, ready vehicles”, and always staying active in all situations.

Being imbued with Uncle Ho’s teachings, i.e. “A strong army is built on proper education, sound policies, and strict discipline”, the Division strictly maintains the discipline and regularity; strengthens the management of soldiers in terms of their ideology and social relationships; proactively discovers, early prevents, strictly and timely punishes any misled manifestations; and builds the military environment regular, disciplinary, healthy and humane. It drastically implements the motto of “the seniors taking good examples, the juniors actively following”, combining the exemplary roles of leading cadres with the quality of unit building; seriously maintains the daily and weekly schedules, gradually changing the enforced discipline to the self-awareness and cultural norms for each cadre and soldier, through which, to improve their awareness of discipline observance, management effectiveness, making sure the Division could operate strictly and smoothly.

Together, the Division’s Party Committee and Command intensely lead and direct the quality of logistic - technical support towards the synchronicity, proactiveness and modernisation, closely combined with the demands of mobility and combat readiness in the new combat conditions; “educate soldiers to well maintain weapons and equipment, save each round and rice grain, avoid any waste”; actively promote the emulation of production, “appreciate public property, fight against corruption and waste”; combine the emulation movement of “The Military Logistics following Uncle Ho’s teachings” with improving the quality and effectiveness of the Campaign on “Managing and exploiting weapons and technical equipment effectively, durably, safely, economically, and ensuring traffic safety”; intensely stimulate and bring into play the self-reliance and resilience of cadres and soldiers in improving their lives, especially the quality of meals, regular, green, clean and beautiful barracks, and the soldiers’ health, at the same time, pay attention to combining the training with exploiting and managing the weapons and equipment, assuring the Division could be proactive in all combat plans without any suddenness and unexpectedness in all situations.

Building the comprehensively strong, “exemplary, typical” Division 325 in light of Uncle Ho’s teachings is a regular and long-lasting mission requiring the united and drastic leadership of all-level party committees and commands, and the awareness and responsibility of every cadre and soldier. In the new period, all cadres and soldiers of the Division continue to learn and creatively apply Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style into the reality of building, training and combat readiness; bring into play the glorious traditions, steadily hold the political spirit, be united and determined to successfully accomplish all assigned tasks.
