Textile and Garment Company 7 implements innovation in integration

Striving for “a stable and sustainable Textile and Garment brand in the domestic and global markets,...”, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Company have adopted innovative solutions to improve its production and business efficiency, contributing to maintaining its role as the best supplier of products and services in the textile, dyeing, printing, garment, and mechanical engineering industries for national defence and security, and participating in domestic and foreign markets.

Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company No. 7 is an economic, defence and security combined enterprise, specialising in the production and trading of textiles, dyeing, printing, and garment products, supplying parts of military uniform for the Military and textile and garment products for domestic and international markets.

In recent years, the company is facing several difficulties, namely: the scarcity of input materials; fluctuating market prices; reduced purchase power, and increasingly fierce competition in the textile and garment industry. To make it worse, the stringent criteria for “green”, sustainable, and environmentally friendly production, especially the tariff policies and trade barriers from importing countries, are significantly impacting its production and business operations. However, the company has leveraged its internal strengths, made sound investments, and adopted many innovative and groundbreaking approaches. As a result, its annual targets are all met, or even exceeded: its average revenue reaches nearly 775 billion VND per year, and its per capita incomes reaches nearly 13 million per month. It pays over 38 billion VND in tax to state budget a year. The Textile and Garment 7 brand has been established firmly in the market.

Defining people as the centre of the innovation process and a key factor in enhancing competitiveness and sustainable development, the Company’s Party Committee, Board of Directors, and Management Board focus primarily on building a high-skill workforce. Through job fairs and internship programmes, the company collaborates with universities such as, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, and Ton Duc Thang University to access high-quality human resources and places training order to minimise recruitment costs. In particular, it has partnered with domestic and foreign experts from countries such as China, Japan, South Korea, and Italy to install, train, transfer technology, and operates new machinery and equipment.

Since 2023 to date, it has spent roughly 75 billion VND from its own capital on upgrading machinery, production technology, and facilities with high effectiveness.

This movement has helped tap into and exploit their potential and creativity. In particular, it adopts 5 orphans whose parents died due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with a total amount of nearly 6 billion VND, contributing to building a strong people’s heart and mind posture.

As far as the welfare of its employees is concerned, the company always complies with legal regulations regarding wages, bonuses, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, accident insurance, periodic health check-ups, and occupational disease examinations.
