As performing special political tasks, staying beside Uncle Ho every day, officers and soldiers of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Guard Command are always active in training, studying and following Uncle Ho to maintain an exemplary and typical image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in the new era, contributing to spreading Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle - an invaluable spiritual asset and a precious heritage of Viet Nam revolution.

The long-term preservation and absolute protection of President Ho Chi Minh's body and the promotion of the political and cultural values of his mausoleum are not only the political responsibility and deep affection of the entire Party, the whole people, and troops for the respectful leader, but also show the steadfastness in his chosen path of national independence and socialism for the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, equity, and civilisation. With the honour and pride as a unit performing this special political task, officers and soldiers of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command are determined to train and work responsibly to successfully complete this noble task; consider it a sacred duty, and their endless affection for the beloved President. At the same time, this is also their responsibility to the Party and people, to the cause of national construction and defence.

To fulfill their assigned task, the Party Committee of Corps 969 and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command have synchronously carried out leading and directing solutions, including thoroughly implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW, dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo (12^th tenure), now the Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo (13^th tenure) on “promoting the learning and follow-up of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle”, contributing to building an all-strong, “exemplary and typical” unit, Corps 969’s Party Committee pure, strong, and typical, successfully completing its special political task.

Shared perception; building practical models

Annually, Party committees, political commissars, junior political commissars, commanders, and political agencies at all levels lead, direct and thoroughly conduct education and propagation of thematic topics on studying and following Uncle Ho, thereby creating strong changes in the awareness and action of cadres, party members and the masses. As a result, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle has been made a voluntary and regular work of its Party committees, organisations, agencies and units. With the orientation of “Loyalty, creativity, dedication, and responsibility", its Party Committee and High Command have specified “Uncle Ho's Soldiers” standard as requirements in political and ideological qualities, morality and lifestyles of officers and soldiers of the Command; determined the core contents, and focused on the weak aspects; and stated personal duties in implementation. Sticking to their practical tasks, its units have built typical and effective models in learning and following, while mass organisations have deployed many creative movements, thereby, contributing to raising awareness and unifying the thoughts, words and deeds of cadres, party members and the masses in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; in implementing political tasks, building all-strong units, pure and strong party committees and organisation in terms of politics, ideology, structure and morality.

Effective learning and following - the spillover effect of the typical and exemplary image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in the new period

With infinite love and gratitude to the great leader, a high sense of responsibility, cadres and engineers of Institute 69 have actively conducted scientific research and thoroughly implemented three national-level tasks with many projects, initiatives, technical innovations approved and applied in practice, not only bringing economic benefits, saving human labour but also creating important basis for the unit to gradually self-conduct the task of long-term preservation of President Ho Chi Minh's body.

Performing rituals at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum requires cadres and guard soldiers, regardless of weather conditions, to perform precise and decisive movements in a serious manner, without single error. To complete their tasks, officers and soldiers of the Command have always actively nurtured and trained their moral qualities, political awareness, fitness, manners, and movements, even their facial expressions, which require their ceaseless effort to perfect themselves in order to fulfill their noble mission.

Performing special task at a holy place, the party committees and commanders of the units pay special attention to the training, propaganda and education of soldiers. In order to improve the quality of reception and communication, according to the motto: "Tender, respectful, inspiring, attractive in guidance and propaganda", in addition to regularly fostering and improving communicative skills, cadres and soldiers of the Command are required to conduct self-learning and self-studying to have a certain understanding of the culture, customs and practices of the ethnic communities of Viet Nam. At the same time, they must fully understand and regularly cultivate Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle; express the friendly and simple way of Uncle Ho through their words and deeds in reception and propaganda. Studying and following Uncle Ho's behaviour, with the motto "polite, civilised, dedicated and caring", the reception, propagation and assistance for domestic and international guests visiting Uncle Ho's Mausoleum and the Martyrs Memorial, together with political activities at the mausoleum and K9 Relic Site, especially the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic, are always successfully completed by officers and soldiers of the Command in a thoughtful, respectful, solemn and safe manner, thereby earning deep impression and affection from the hearts of domestic people and international friends.

The typical and exemplary image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" and the standard, polite, civilised, dedicated and thoughtful actions of the officers and soldiers of the Command not only make international tourists and compatriots more respectful and proud of the beloved leader visiting the Mausoleum, but also contributes to making the whole Party, people and troops more and more imbued of the contents and values of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle; turning his thought, morality and lifestyle into solid spiritual foundation of social life; spreading the quality and image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in the new period. At the same time, it helps enhancing the fight against wrong and hostile views, firmly protecting the ideological foundation of the Party and developing Vietnamese culture and people in a way that meets the requirements of sustainable development and Homeland protection for the sake of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, equity and civilisation.

Creating motivation to successfully carry out the tasks in the new era

For their achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle, in 2016, the Mausoleum Management Board was awarded the Second-class Independence Medal by the State; the Mausoleum Command was awarded the First-class Labour Medal in 2017, and the Third-class Military Merit Medal by the State President in 2019; 03 individuals were awarded the First, Second and Third Class Labour Medals in the implementation of Project VN-01; hundreds of individuals were awarded with Certificates of Merit from leaders and commanders at all levels. This is the motivation for officers and soldiers of the Command to promote the tradition of a heroic unit of the people's armed forces in the renovation period, constantly strive to successfully realise the goal set out in the Resolution of the 10^th Party Congress of Corps 969 Party Committee (2020 - 2025 tenure): "By 2030, build a modern unit in terms of structure, personnel and technical equipment; fully capable of conducting the task of preserving and protecting President Ho Chi Minh’s body; build the unit comprehensively strong, "exemplary and typical", the Party Committee of Corps 969 pure, strong and typical" as well as the direction of General Phan Van Giang, Member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defence when visiting and inspecting the Unit that: "Uphold the solidarity, creativity, self-reliance and self-sufficiency. Conduct attentive, polite and civilised reception of compatriots and international guests to the Mausoleum, Martyrs Memorial, and the K9 Relic Site, so that the image of the Mausoleum Guards become a symbol of strength and discipline of the Viet Nam People's Army, the most typical image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in the new era”.
