The baseline used to measure the breadth of Vietnam's territorial waters in the Gulf of Bac Bo is determined on the basis of the provisions of UNCLOS, in accordance with the geographical and natural features of the Gulf of Bac Bo and does not affect international treaties to which Vietnam has signed or acceded.
