The August Revolution in 1945 in Hanoi, in which the enemy set its headquarters, took place with a rising spirit and lighting attacks, gaining a rapid and resounding victory. Together with the uprisings in Hue, Sai Gon and other important cities, the victory by the people of Hanoi in 19 August 1945 had a great impact which strongly encouraged and fostered the General Uprising in the whole country to the complete victory.
