This year, the Army Academy will celebrate the 70th anniversary of its founding day. Throughout its history, in any circumstances, its managers, lecturers, learners have always been united, active, creative and managed to overcome difficulties and build the Academy strong, fulfilling any assigned tasks.

In recent years, facing the increasingly demanding of the mission, the Academy has implemented a number of solutions to build all round potentials; promoted renewal to enhance the quality of teaching and learning and doing scientific research. Thereby, it has gained positive achievements and comprehensive changes in its training operation and management; renewed procedure and program of training, teaching and learning method; modernized teaching facilities, etc. Especially, the Academy has made breakthroughs in enhancing the quality of its cadres and teaching staff. Pursuing the line of “Popularizing tertiary education for cadres and teaching staff”, to date, 100% of its teaching staff are degree holders with 50% are post graduates. There are total 79 doctors, 209 masters, 5 professors, 72 associate professors, 2 awarded the title of People’s Teachers, 22 awarded the title of Outstanding Teachers in the Academy. These are the key figures for the Academy to fulfill its assigned tasks. In recent years, the percentage of learners graduating with good and outstanding results accounts for over 98%. Scientific research in the Academy also sees positive results. The quality and progress of projects are ceaselessly improved. Since 2010, the Academy has completed 7 Ministerial level research projects, 11 branch level research projects, and hundreds of grass roots level research projects. It has also complied and edited hundreds of documents, lectures, war reviews, etc. of ministry and school levels in serve for the training and studying of the whole military. Its fame and status have continued to be affirmed and enhanced.
The achievements gained over the past 70 years serve as a firm ground and a significant stimulus for the Academy to uphold its tradition, strive for more good results in the teaching, learning and doing scientific research, meeting the requirements of renewal and development of education and training cause of the country and the mission of building the military, safeguarding the Homeland in the new stage. To fulfill the glorious but demanding mission, the Academy has implemented synchronously a number of solutions, first and foremost focusing on building the Academy comprehensively strong, regular, exemplary, and capable of fulfilling any missions assigned.
Building the Academy strong politically and ideologically is attached with special importance and considered a top priority by the Party Committee and Headquarters of the Academy.
Besides, the Academy also continues to develop and perfect its teaching and managing staff in quantity, quality, and structure meeting the requirements of developing the Academy both in the short term and in the long term. Continue to mobilize all resources to standardize and modernize its teaching and learning facilities; speeding up the making of the Academy regular, exemplary, disciplined, with clean, green, scenic and academic environment.
Apart from the above missions, the Academy continues to perfect its training program; improve teaching and learning methods and scientific research; improve and enhance the effectiveness of educational management; foster international cooperation and training linkage with universities inside and outside the military to meet the requirements of educational renewal and integration, etc.
Upholding the tradition of “steadfastness, unity, proactiveness, creativeness, overcoming difficulties and fulfilling missions” and the experience of 70 years of growth, the Army Academy is determined to accomplish all assigned tasks, deserving to be a top center in terms of training cadres and conducting military science research in the Military as well as in the country.
