The Anti-aircraft Artillery Regiment 280 (the Regiment hereafter), founded on April 25th 1959, is tasked with maintaining combat readiness on Northern and Central battlefields. Right after its foundation, the Regiment maneuvered to protect Vinh city, Nghe An province and the Regiment was named Hong Linh then.
