A criticism on “Anti-corruption cannot succeed in a single-party system” notion

In governing the State and the society, Vietnam Communist Party (VCP) has always been committed to the fight against corruption and gained many crucial results as well as the support of the people. However, reactionary groups still assert that anti-corruption cannot succeed in a single-party system. This is a distorted notion which aims to discredit the role and political determination of the Party in this fight, and it needs to be completely refuted

From mid-1965, after its strategy of “special warfare” was basically defeated, the U.S. leadership had to shift its policy to “local warfare” with the deployment of massive U.S. expeditionary forces into South Vietnam. VCP's viewpoint on building defence potentials in the new situation

Building defence potentials is one of the strategic guidelines of the Party and State, aiming to mobilise all resources to enhance defence strength and firmly protect the country both in peacetime and in wartime. This is one of the principle orientation which has been written in the Political Document of the Party’s 12th National Congress and should be implemented and followed.
