Striking at the enemy in order to destroy their reinforcements is one of the most typical features of operational art employed by the Southern regular force, ensuring suitability for each target and battle. This operational method destroyed large part of enemy strength both inside and outside trenches and enabled the Campaign to progress and win decisive victories.

Combat art development in Hoa Binh Campaign

In the late of 1951 and early 1952, under the leadership and direction of the Party, directly the General Military Commission, our people and military gained great victory in the Hoa Binh Campaign. This victory was of strategic meaning in terms of military and politics with the art of offensive operation being the notable feature.
