On March 27th, 1951, the Ministry of National Defence issued the decision to establish the Artillery Division 351 at My Lam commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province, including the Political Office - precursor of the present-day Political Department of the Artillery Corps as one of its competent agencies. The 27th of March is also the Traditional Day of the Artillery Corps’ Political Department
