Over the past 30 years of construction and development, thanks to its cadres’ political responsibility, enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication, the IDS has undertaken hundreds of strategic-level researches greatly contributing to building the Military, consolidating national defence, and protecting the Homeland. Researches by the IDS have clarified many issues and provided important scientific grounds for the Party and the State to formulate the guidelines for the military-defence work and the Homeland protection

Making the Institute for Defence Strategy strong and worthy of a strategic consultative organ in military and defence issues

Under the leadership and direction of the CMC, and the MND, directly the Party Committee of the General Staff, since its inception, the institute has surmounted difficulties to successfully accomplished its assigned tasks and affirm its roles and position of a strategic think tank and consultative organ in military and defence issues.

A careful review shows that the Draft Summary Report in general, and particularly the fourth orientation on defence and security tasks and solutions, has been thoroughly and scientifically prepared, having undergone multiple rounds of revision at various levels, thus ensuring high quality. Different structural approaches may exist, but it can be affirmed that this one is the most appropriate for a Party document of this nature.
