Within Army Corps 4’s formation, Engineering Brigade 550 is tasked with organising training courses, ensuring combat readiness, constructing and maintaining defence works, clearing unexploded ordnance, preventing and combating natural disasters, conducting search and rescue operations, serving exercises held by the Corps and the Ministry of National Defence, and performing several other missions

Engineering Brigade 550 of the 4th Corps was established on July 20th, 1974. Over 45 years of construction, combat, and maturity, under the leadership and direction of the Corps’ Party Commission and High Command and thanks to the help of the local Party committees, authorities, and people and other agencies and units, generations of its officials and soldiers of have always been united, brave, and creative to overcome all difficulties and challenges and successfully complete their assigned tasks.

To accomplish the Campaign’s assigned tasks, objectives, and targets, ministries, sectors, local authorities, and particularly military agencies and units serving as the core force, must continue to coordinate closely in implementing comprehensive and synchronised measures. This requires mobilising all available resources and harnessing the combined strength of the entire political system and society to successfully fulfil this exceptionally important mission of profound national gratitude.
