 Striking at the enemy in order to destroy their reinforcements is one of the most typical features of operational art employed by the Southern regular force, ensuring suitability for each target and battle. This operational method destroyed large part of enemy strength both inside and outside trenches and enabled the Campaign to progress and win decisive victories.
