Brigade 171 improves the quality of training and combat readiness

Thoroughly grasping their assigned functions and tasks, Brigade 171, under 2nd Naval Region, has been continuously improving the quality of training and combat readiness, contributing with other forces to firmly protecting the sovereignty over seas, islands and continental shelf in the South of the Fatherland.

The results of the Determined-to-win Emulation Movement in recent years have contributed to building the pure and strong party cells, the all-strong “exemplary, typical” Region. The Region ranks top in the whole Navy in training, combat readiness, discipline training and regularity building for many consecutive years.

With the awareness, responsibility and love for the seas and islands, together with the continuous improvement of the training quality, skills and the ability of combat readiness in all situations, the 2nd Naval Region’s cadres and soldiers will continue to promote activities of accompanying fishermen in their offshore fishing and the legal, safe and sustainable exploitation of aquatic products and seafoods; closely coordinate with forces, together with all levels, agencies and local areas to stably protect the sovereignty, sovereignty rights over the seas and islands and the continental shelves of the Homeland.
2nd Naval Region improves overall quality and combat capability

Due to new requirements for the defense of our maritime sovereignty and the implementation of Central Party Committee Resolution 04 (tenure X) on “Vietnam maritime strategy by 2020”, on March 19, 2009, the then Minister of National Defense ratified the establishment of 2nd Naval Region. Since its foundation 10 years ago, units of the Region have always effectively completed their assigned tasks
