70 years ago, on 21 July 1954, the Geneva Accords on the cessation of hostilities in Vietnam were signed, becoming a historic milestone in the country’s revolutionary diplomacy. The signing of the Geneva Accords, which mainly resulted from the Dien Bien Phu victory that “resounded across the five continents and shook the globe”, victoriously ended our country’s prolonged resistance war and completely smashed the nearly-100-year yoke of French colonialism in Vietnam

Amidst more demanding requirements, the LPA exerts itself to become comprehensively strong, successfully fulfilling its assigned tasks and deserving to be the loyal and reliable political and combat forces of the Party, the State and the people of Laos

The entire Army is determined to successfully carry out the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term
Under all conditions and circumstances, the entire armed forces must deeply internalise the spirit of proactiveness, determination, and resolute action, ensuring that there is no passivity or surprise in any situation, so that the election is conducted successfully and truly becomes a “great festival of the entire people.”
