Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ho Xuan Son and PCA Secretary-General Hugo Hans Siblesz on June 23 signed host country and letter of exchange agreements for cooperation between the Vietnamese Government and the inter-governmental organisation.

Vietnam will receive legal training assistance and general information on arbitration procedure from the PCA as part of the exchange letter document.

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh received the Secretary-General, during which he said he hopes the signing of the agreements will help speed up the bilateral cooperation, especially in enhancing the lawmakers’ capacity.

Established in 1899, the PCA has 115 member states and is responsible for facilitating arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution evolving in the international community.
